Journal Excerpts (February)Posted: 2007-02-03 17:29:25 Writing in a journal helps you to keep track of thoughts during times of prayer and seeking God. It is a running log of the thoughts God has been showing you. A journal excerpt is noted below: Our prayer can get so routine, without life, "I want this, I want that..." God has given Himself to us--he is deserving of our love, adoration, and praise. The Psalms give us a good idea of how we can lift up God with praise, thanks, worship and honor. Tell Him how you are feeling about life--be truthful--no one else can hear. Then, ask Him about things that are really important to you. God will show you things that are the most important and help you to pray for these things. The Holy Spirit will guide you as you are praying. |
