Excerpts from Ask for the Ancient Paths by Jessica Jones, Xulon Press, 2006Posted: 2007-02-03 17:29:40 Excerpts from Ask for the Ancient Paths by Jessica Jones, Xulon Press, 2006 (1-16-07) P. 237 He created every color and texture for the pleasure of our eyes. He created every song and sound for the pleasure of our ears, every texture and sensation for the pleasure of our touch, every variety of food and beverage and flavor for the pleasure of our taste, every scent and fragrance for the pleasure of our smell. He created all five senses to enjoy all He created for us. He created us for His pleasure and everything else for our pleasure. (I do believe He also takes great pleasure in everything He has made). In the Father’s face I saw and read “endless possibilities.” P. 238 We need to get rid of ALL the dust and cobwebs that are holding us back from ALL that God has for us. We are just now beginning to break through to the revelation of what God is all about and what He has for us. But we are still locked up in (and locked into) the traditions of our diverse cultures. P. 234 There will be those that will walk through the veil between our earthly walk and the Heaven where the Lord is, they will walk through in the natural as Enoch did but this time they will walk back out…. Enoch stayed but there is a people in the earth now that will be able to walk back and forth through the veil whenever they please, they will be the sons of God revealed. P. 235 There is nothing found in them (of sin). (They will ascend the mount of God with clean hands and pure hearts and will dwell on His holy hill). But how do we do this, I asked? The Lord answered, “Corruptible means to decay and perish. Stop decaying and perishing.” (Does that mean doing what will decay and perish??) Adam and Eve felt that what God gave them was not enough (even though He had really given them everything they needed). (Pushing for more than God wants for us, but always ask, “What do you want for me, Lord.”) Consumerism and commerce is our search for more, and we must get money to get more, when everything could be given freely by our sharing. P. 264 Will eternity be boring? There were a special group of people in heaven that I saw who never left the Lord’s throne room because they can’t bear to leave the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. “Lord, please, I am not one of these people am I?” I felt terrible that I didn’t want to be one of these who never left the throne room as that meant that I didn’t want to be in the presence of the Lord all the time, but it came out of my mouth without thinking. The Lord smiled and said, “I made you to be like you are. You are an explorer and an adventurer (Jessica). I created you with a need to know and see everything because it is your calling to be a reporter. No, you are not one of them. You will travel to the very corners of creation and explore every part of My creation.” Each one of us has been created with an inherent nature placed their specifically by God. There are (in people) many different natures as you can imagine, each is created to enjoy His creation and Him individually. P. 265 Everyone of us is created to commune with a different side of the Godhead and enjoy a different viewpoint (of Him and His creation). In this way the fullness of the Godhead can be appreciated and enjoyed. He is so incredibly diverse that we can only enjoy one aspect of Him (as our gift). We then can share that aspect with each other, all the parts making up the whole. P. 22 Every person has a nature as seen by the Lord that describes who they are. Sometimes who a person is can be seen by the Lord as words or phrases, for example: a castle turret, an angry bear, a whirling vortex of consuming emptiness, ego, rage, fear, a stallion, etc. These descriptions can be very complimentary or not. It says in the book of Revelation that a stone with a new name will be given to us (one day) that only we and the Lord will fully understand. (Rev. 2:17) P. 266 Then when we think we have it all or have seen it all, He will create whole new worlds for us to explore that will amaze us forever. P. 273 What is sin? Could it be the offense of missing our relationship with Him and forcing Him to miss His relationship with us? (Sin) It is telling God that our way is better and His way isn’t good enough for us, and that He simply does not do things fast enough for us. P. 274 How do I get back to P. 277 Here is what I have done wrong: (1) I don’t feel that He is or will give me enough to make me happy, or to fulfill my desires. I regard what He gives as lack. (2) I think He is lying when He says He loves me for who I am and not for what I do (I am not enough for Him by myself). (3) I steal my life from Him to have it for myself. (4) I have chased whatever would say, “I am validated and valuable now.” (5) I have crushed His heart every time I sent Him away empty handed. I have crushed His friends (He loves everyone) when I sent them away. P. 278 (9) I have refused His company every time I have let something take up my time other than Him. What I need to do: (1) I shall learn to love the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and let my heart flutter or miss a beat in excitement at the very thought of Him looking my way. I should desire to know how He feels, what He thinks, what He is doing, how has His day gone? I should want to know everything about Him. (2) I need to love who He loves and get to know any person who has a piece of who He is that I need to know. I need absolutely every one of them to see Him fully. (I need to go after anyone He wants me to go after even if I don’t understand why). My love for others should not depend on how they act or dress or look. (3) I need to see how much I am loved alone for who I am in character and personality and not for what I do important for Him or accomplish or goals completed.
