They gathered shortly before sunrise this morning. The loud noise of construction equipment muffled their voices, and dozens of their classmates gawked as they walked by.
A dozen Urbandale High School students held hands, formed a circle and prayed to God for their faith, one another, their school, family and friends, and even the school’s principal, as part of national “See You at the Pole” prayer demonstration. They also sang and read scripture, but mostly prayed and spoke words of encouragement to one another and for others.
